ABOUT THE

ARTIST

My work is inspired by the icons of Japanese pop art, Takashi Murakami, Yoshitomo Nara and Hikaru Iwanaga. By drawing from the nightmarish visions from my subconscious, I breathe life into the dark thoughts that plague my mind.It is my belief that if something I am creating is not fun in my eyes, the humour wouldn't shine through to the viewer. This sense of playfulness ans fun is a strong theme throughout my work, I want people to interact with my work, to touch, to create their own stories within my world."Dark corners of my mind" takes route from my childhood imagination, from stories my father told at night to the wild dreams of toys moving about and rocking horses watching me.
